He is getting long in the tooth and IMHO is a liability in passing situations when we can't get him substituted out. I would love to see a younger, faster guy in his spot anyway considering the direction the offenses in the division are heading.

With a rookie QB and new coaching staff I expect to see the Vikings get younger.

Besides the obvious players not returning like Favre and TJ, I think there is a chance we may have seen the last of Pat Williams, Madieu Williams, Greg Lewis, Jimmy Kennedy, Fred Evans, and Kliensasser in addition to Ben Leber.

I also feel Edwards is done here and will be traded for a second round pick if restricted or signed away if unrestricted.
    Rice is probably 50-50.

The following players may be done here when their contract ends; McKinnie, Hutch, Herrera, E.J. Henderson, Berrian, and Winfield.

Obviously there are others who aren't necessarily older but won't make the roster.

If we have no off season there may not be a lot of roster turnover but I expect some surprises in who goes and who stays.

The coaching staff has had an inordinate amount of time to evaluate their players on film.
What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

yeah i can see that though winfield already stated that hes retiring once his contract is up which means hes got i think 3 yrs left in his 5 year deal.
Sauce needs to be kept till our line learns to block having a mini lineman always helps. and let him retire a viking.

    Good stuff my friend.......

I don't, however, agree with Sauce or M-will.

The offense is gonna use up TE's/H-backs faster than you can put them on the field. Sauce will have a roster spot.

M-will is a harder one to buy into, however, I think that we will see him on the field one more year if for no other reason than to provide some continuity during the change over much the way we saw them stick with Sharp even though he didn't fit.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg
