I'm an active voter...First Round was easy. Gonna get more difficult.

Can't say I like the picks.

For example, Paul Allen isn't even a Viking, he's a radio personality. Ragnar isn't employed by the Vikings, And Spielman!? I get that there's hype by fans, but you need more than one or two good seasons to be one of the best of all time, especially at the GM position. Sullivan? He's had two pretty damn good years, but best of all time? Not in the conversation. Zygi is arguable, Faud Reveiz over Fred Cox or Gary Anderson? Reveiz was a decent kicker for five years, Cox was a lifetime Viking through all four superbowls. Heck, I'm surprised Blair Walsh isn't on the list, with all the current "Vikings" on there.

Greatest Viking Of All Time Tournament

Didn't analyze the 64 nominees. Agree re: kickers, trainers, media, blah, blah, blah. More interested in the Sweet 16. 5 of which, I suspect, are on my Signature...just sayin'

Bud Grant would be my pick, there is old school but he is the guy that built the school

Kickers have hteir place, but the only Kicker I'd have in there is Cox.

Zygi is in there, but no Max Winter? Spielman is a joke for best all time. I don't disagree with who beat who so far, but the nominations are laughable.

Walsh is on the list; he lost to Jim Marshall.

I agree that this should have just been players and maybe head coaches. I would have listed a group of 100 players and coaches to get the original pairing.

As far as the picks go, I do not like that Gary Zimmerman was knocked off by Anthony Carter. Zimmerman was a traitor to the Vikings, but he is a NFL HoF player.

It is a fan vote though. Carter was a fan favourite, Zimmerman, not so much. Carter IMO contributed more as a Viking than Zimmerman. Z goes down as a Bronco in most people's books.

If Spielman got in, why not Eric Sugarman!?

Sugarman was in. He lost to Robert Griffith in round one.

Gary Zimmerman 6 seasons, 4x Pro Bowls, 4x All-Pro seasons, 1x second team All-Pro season, All Decade 1980's team - as a Viking. NFL Hall of Fame.

Anthony Carter: 9 seasons, 3 Pro Bowls, 2x Second Team All-NFC selection - as a Viking.

These are the player stats only with the Vikings. Zimmerman also played for Denver, and Carter played for Detroit. Zimmerman is the superior player with the Vikings. If the team players had not given him bunk for calling the offense out after a loss (which was leaked to the press), and if the Vikings paid him what he was worth, Zimmerman would have likely finished his career with the Vikings.

Problem is, IMO judging by some of the voting thus far, many voters are too young to remember watching those old school players & maybe voting on name recognition.
