When sports fans ponder the 2005 Minnesota Vikings, they will see a promising group lost in a boat scandal, Culpepper's magically exploding right knee, or Mike Tice's ticket scalping. What actually occurred, however, was the greatest exorcism ever performed in Minnesota: ousting Red McCombs.

During the early portion of the new millennium, the most hated figure in Minnesota sports was Twins owner Carl Pohlad. By refusing to pay the money necessary to field a competitive team and exhorting little effort to save the Twins from MLB's contraction scheme in 2002, Carl was hated by everyone who set foot in the Metrodome. Little did the fans know that the real threat to Minnesota was right under their noses...

I just tested the search again with the exact title of this thread and it came up empty, so if this article was posted already I apologize!

I did a search for "exorcism" and got this:

The greatest exorcism in Minnesota Vikings history

You have to do a search on a word in the article that is not common.

Doing a search for Culpepper will yield hundreds of threads.

Exorcsim yields a lot, but it is easy to figure out.

The article was posted almost a month ago. Singer is nails when it comes to articles, thats why I do not even bother. He usually has them up first thing in the morning before most of us are awake or as soon as they hit print.

Thanks guys, I wasn't sure I had seen it before but I shoulda known it was Singer that posted the original. And thanks for posting the correct link! For a NETCOM techie, I'm not to bright about these things, which doesn't bode well for my future in the field! :lol:
