You don't want your rookie to get burned out. At the same time Childress I really not that bright anyways.

i can understand that but 12 carries? he needs at least 20. i think it was said 40 rushes to 20 passes would be good for us.

I don't remember Barry Sanders, Marshall Faulk,Terrell Davis, Edgerrin James, Emmitt Smith,L.T etc getting burned out by carrying the ball too much. To me that is a BS excuse made up to protect the coach.

Of sourse you don't want him to carry the ball 450-500 times in a season, but 20 a game would only end up being 320, which is not that high of a number. 22 would be 352 and seems like a good number to shoot for. If he averaged 5 yards per rush he would have 1760 yards and that certainly isn't overburdening, but it would be fantastic numbers for a rookie.

Vikings Insider: Team has look of same old thing

Contrary to the rhetoric coming out of Winter Park, the team looks a lot like it did last year, with the same faults and weaknesses it vowed to fix.

I looked back and in all but one game we passed more than we ran.
game 1. 23 passes to 22 rushes
game 2. 37 passes and only 26 rushes
game 3. equal at 29 apiece
game 4. 39 passes to 20 rushes

what im sayin is that our rushing game is lethal. our passing game is the equivalent to laughing gas, its just plain ridiculous. we need a max of 20 passes a game to about 35-40 rushes a game. we have 2 awesome RB's in AP and Chester, and a solid man in MeMo. with 3 backs we can easily get 35-40 runs a game and not wear anyone out. we dont run we dont score on offense bottom line. and if we have to pass do a screen or a short-medium slant, nothing deep cuz Holcomb cant throw the deep ball to save his mother.

This is the Childress version of the West Coast offense.
Bill Walsh would be embarrassed to see the Brad Childress offense.
It is not West Coast.
I say we call it the landfill offense.
It should be thrown in the dump.

LOL sad but true.

Brad Childress does not run a west coast offense.
I also don't want to see AP get burned out.

Childress running a west coast offense is saying the USSR were true communist.

Anyone have his email?

I saw this right after we drafted him.
It really got me pumped up.
When he made that catch on Sunday this video ran through my mind.

I can't wait for the rest of the season after watching this.

To put it into perspective, there were some great videos of T-Will when he was in college that were posted here as well.

BTW, who was the QB in the video?
These links will help.
Looks like it was mostly Blake Mitchell.
Looks like he was suspended for a few games.

Maybe it is just the music, but I didn't find the TW videos as impressive.
LOL!

Mired in a three-game losing streak and sitting 1-3 at the bye, these are trying times for the Vikings and coach Brad Childress, but there's still time to turn things around...........
