This article is fantastic news for Minnesotans:

DFL legislative leaders say plans to raise the gas tax for road projects and a metrowide sales tax for transit projects are dead for the year. “I would say they’re probably both dead,” said DFL Senate Majority Leader Tom Bakk.
Senate leaders have been pushing to increase the gas tax to pay for additional road and bridge projects. But historically high gas prices and opposition from Governor Dayton has proved too big of an obstacle.

High Gas Prices + More Gas Taxes = Bad for Minnesota

All I was saying is we find solutions to problems. The headline is loaded. "Bird Lovers" may care and have a valid point. They aren't going to shut down the plans for a new stadium. They are just going make people consider ways to minimize unnecessary bird deaths.

Everyone knows that the refineries played a part in it.

I live right on the border of WI & MN. Both states buy from the same refineries & you'd expect both states to go up the same, yet I watched MN go from $0.15 cheaper than WI, to $0.40 more than WI. That's a difference of a $0.55 per gallon more that MN raised their prices than WI did. That's not due to refineries only.

Lol, this thread started off promising, but then it went south with the gas tax debate. Screw the birds, I just hope with all these windows we don't see a whole lot of annoying shadows on the field.
