    Definitely Childress.
    Good move sitting Smith.
Good job sticking to the run.
    Good game management by BJ.
Williamson needs to learn how to catch.
Sloppy playing for a while there.
Good game considering it's the first game of the season, on the road, new O & D....love it.

Brad is the obvious choice, with Hutch/Taylor not far behind.
Smoot made a couple of nice plays
EJ made a couple nice plays in the 1st half, and it should be noted Portis had only 39 yards.

    Anti-game ball goes to

    TWill

Chester--takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' (odd not to have a fragile back) and, believe it or not, Kluwe for not doing it twice in front of 90,000 + screaming meanies.

portis only had something like 10 carries, tho, so that stat means nothing to me.

Sharper's play gave us 4 points. We won by three! It also changed the tone going in before half when we were reeling a little.

Johnson's consistant play gets the game ball though.

Del was right. Our defense was out coached in the first half. But they did something new. They adjusted at half time. They still have a little work to do but they weren't horrible.

I was ready to throw dirt in on Williamson then he holds on to one for an important 3rd down conversion. I'm sorry,I don't think he's going to work out.

McMullen converted at a time when we needed it.

Taylor ran better but has Childress forgotten about misdirection?

And what's up with a 54 yard field goal attempt by a guy that can't kick past the 10 yard line off the tee?

We need more work but I'm encouraged.

ESPN advertised this game last night as the start of Washington's playoff drive. The word Viking was never used. Those homer announcers never talked about the Vikings. It was all Washington. Well............justice is served.

    And rightfully so.
    Childress has brass balls.
Run, run, run. No matter what run.
Run enough to claim 1 quarter (15 min) of time.
The opposition does the same and then you scrap for the other 2 quarters in the air. And I like Brad to win that battle most of the time.

Yea, I bout went nuts when he caught that ball.
Up till then, I thought he was just a figment of Childress's imagination.

Game Ball: goes to Chester Taylor.

When was the last time we had a running back carry the ball 31 times in a game?

If we gave Mewelde 31 carries he would have gotten injured at least 3 times.

I agree with every point you made except for your thoughts on Williamson.

While, yes, he DID drop big passes.
He didn't drop the KEY ones.
Especially that HUGE 3rd down conversion, where he was hit AT the first down line, but instead of just falling down (much like Mr. Moss would've done), he fought and scrapped for more yardage.. and gaining, what? 15+ yards instead?
If he was tackled where he was first hit, I'm not so sure the Vikings make that first down, meaning they possibly lose the game.
That one play made up for the dropped passes, in my eyes.

Oh yea, and the announcers obvious bias towards Washington drove me crazy.
    Ugh.
I thought I'd never say this, but I'd preffer the Vikings NOT being on MNF.
And they have ANOTHER MNF game this year too!
The announcers better be properly calling that game, or I'm boycotting all MNF games.
Sorry, nothing in the NFL pisses me off more than biased announcers..
Especially Madden's hard on for Favre and the Packers.

    Your right, though.
