Not just erratic throws, but some very poor decisions.

Check out the jump passes at 4:10 and 4:37.
Check out the bad pass into triple coverage at 4:47.
It was a bad performance by our QB.

That being said, there is no way in hell that Gus could have done better.
Gus would have died on Sunday...

That being said, there were several opportunities where JAckson should have used his legs, but didn't.

Did Childress really once say that TJ was further along in his development than McNabb was when he was starting out?

Yeah, right after TJack's nuts fell out of his mouth.

That was my biggest disappointment honestly.
I think TJ running would have helped offset some of the pressure.
The DE's would have had to be more careful about speed rushing around the end leaving that lane open... LBs blitzing would've left big gains... it would have kept the D more honest even with AD being shut down.
Sometimes I think TJ is trying too hard to be a pocket passer... I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of Michael Vick in him... Check WR 1... Check WR 2... run for 5...

Re: Frerotte thinks he gave Vikings "best chance to win"

Silver has a real love affair with Gus.
This is the second time in a month that he's written about the greatness of Gus Frerotte and the massive dissent in the locker room caused by Tarvaris.

I really don't care that much if Frerotte stays or goes.
    He's a mediocre QB.
But I do hope that Frerotte and Silver can refrain from trying to stir up trouble in the Vikings' locker room if he does stay.
When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

I think Gus could have been better in certain situations.
One of the blitzs where the HB is going out to the flat where Tjack pumps and doesn't throw.
If he throws the ball they had some blocking out there that could have led to big gains.
    Instead he takes a sack.
Honestly the offensive line did as decent job picking up the blitz.
    Tjack just isn't the answer.
Gus would have been better off.

I agree, especially when the Iggls were only sending 4 and then 3 DL with no LB'rs or secondary blitzers and still couldn't give TJ time/protection.

    ferrottes dreaming.
jackson should have gotten sacked many a times, and alot of his bad throws it was cuz he tried to get rid of the ball too quick.
a good handful should have got picked if not for his gun.
so basically either ferrotte would have gotten sacked 8 times, or he would have probably had some of the same throws more likely to be picked.
of the few qbs that might have at least not looked terrible sunday, ferrotte was definitely not one of them.
his talents are just not conducive to what beat us.
hell jacksons ablitiy should have given us a better chance to combat there pressure but truth be told, we used him too much like he was gus ferrotte.

TJ didn't have any room to run.... with pressure coming from the outside/inside and up the middle... there were no throwing lanes, let alone running lanes... when you have that besides receivers not getting open your in for a loooong day..

truth be told... aside from our running game, i think the passing game is kind of soft, from our receivers on down to the line... just soft!
