    Re: Frerotte practicing

Although most of you are worried about our starter, I am worried about our backup.

I would feel alot more comfortable with both TJ and Gus at 100% or close to it.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Quarterback Gus Frerotte is on the field and taking part in drills. He and Tarvaris Jackson split reps for the first 10 minutes the media was allowed to watch. Coach Brad Childress said earlier today that he wants to see how Frerotte moves around in practice after returning from his lower back injury...

Oh god, if they start Gus Sunday this forum is going to implode.
    Nope.

Sean Jensen of the Pioneer Press reports that Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said Jackson will start Sunday
against the Falcons and Gus Frerotte will back him up.

I'm covering all the active TJack threads. This way there aren't 4 threads posted about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Childress say that today was no pads, etc.? I thought he said today Frerotte would practice, but he'd really evaluate based upon how he performs tomorrow when he's at full speed.

My money is still on Tarvaris staring.
Hopefully not like in game 1 and 2 this year.
That was all part of Childress' master plan. He saw how good he looked in preseason, had him play mediocre in the first two games to throw other teams off, then brought him back in the last part of the regular season so he could play strong & lead the team deep into the playoffs.

    Childress is a genius!
