Frerotte gets picked off, but doesn't get ticked off
Frerotte gets picked off, but doesn't get ticked off
The QB's ability to forget about earlier bad throws helps late in games.

The majority of the statistical evidence indicates the Vikings made the right move in replacing Tarvaris Jackson with Gus Frerotte as their starting quarterback only two games into the season.

Re: Frerotte gets picked off, but doesn't get ticked off
Thanks for the read my friend.
Pretty hard to tell who more inaccurate, Gussy boy or TJ.
Gus is a bit more confident in his reads and his throws, however, I sure the hell wish he could figure out what is the front shoulder pad and what is the back shoulder pad.
Some of his throws that are 15 yards short kindof crack me up as well.
;DMany many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

You should have heard him get all pissy with Granpa's performance Sunday, especially when he threw the ball 10 yards short to Shanc with B-wade wide open deep.

He has thrown 11 interceptions, including eight in the past three games.

Damnit we need a decent QB.
Maybe we have him sitting on the bench already in JDB?
Who knows.
Truth be told, we are set at almost every position and have nice depth.
I look to see Ricky working some magic on draft day for the following 3 positions....
a. QB
b. C
c. K
Then he can bring in a group of cats like Gordon who will make next years camp real interesting.
By the way, Prayers for Chuck my friends.
:'(Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Quality should be his brains, decision making, and accuracy and not his arm strength and speed.
Hopefully people are looking at Matt Ryan, Brady Quinn, and Flacco versus someone like Russel and seeing the trends.
What about RT?
I don't see Cook being a long term solution there.
The Vikings like to run Right to leave the cutback left open.
They know they will have backside protection from the left.
I wouldn't mind seeing a road grading Right Tackle picked up high.
Someone that allows 3 or 4 WR sets and still forms big holes on the right side.
What about a KR?
It seems more and more teams are dedicating spots to speedy, shifty KRs.
The Vikings have never really had a dynamic return game.
I wouldn't mind seeing a draft pick go towards that position.
What about DT?
I think Robinson has done great inside on 3rd and longs spelling Pat, but is he the solution for an every down DT?
Probably not.
Do we think that Wyms is that guy?
With salary cap in mind... I wouldn't mind seeing the entire draft blown to address those 4 positions.
Trade up for more quality in those 4 positions vs maintaining position and drafting guys that are practice squad fodder.
We can get those guys undrafted. The true measure of a man is what he'd do knowing he'd never be found out.

We can get those guys undrafted.
He has his issues but will continue to get better.
Our issues Sunday were not as a result of him when it came to the ineffectiveness of our passing attack.
The PUKERS elected to jam our recievers at the line to disrupt the timing.
Guess what, it worked, at the expense of a solid running game by our backs.
Bring a guy or two in as undrafted FA's to develop/compete.
DT.
I like Guion. He has a nice first step and can add some weight.
Bring a guy or two in as undrafted FA's to develop/compete.
KR.
Draft a guy just for that spot?
Naw, I say you use your draft picks wisely to fix a couple of key positions and if you see a guy sitting there low in the draft or one that won't get drafted, you take a shot, but I think we have the right guys on the roster now to fill that role. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
