I found a site with FA listings at all positions...

    http://www.theredzone.org/2005/freeagents/index.asp

For corners, some unrestricted FAs that jump out are:

    Gary Baxter, Ravens
Charles Woodson, Raiders...too pricy, getting older
    Ken Lucas, Seahawks
Allen Rossum, Falcons...GREAT return man also

There are some others too...what do you all think?

yeah he does seem pretty small, but field position would be HUGE for us...that guy lights a fire under his team

We need a veteran (and young) Linebacker more than a corner. Our Defensive Line is playing at a high level and Winfield is a strong force in the secondary (with Williams giving good support). However our linebacking crew is just pathetic against the pass. They are good against the rush but lack at pass. We need leadership at LB real bad. Remember how much of a difference that made when we got Biekert?

How many of you felt as shitty as I did whenever Trotter made a play on Sunday? That hurt.

yeah i agree that we need a good vet LB..but we also need another solid corner. I guess im hoping Red will shell out for more than one need, which might be asking for too much.

I say lets get Gary Baxter or Rossum. You are right about Woodson.

I believe if Winnifield, Chavous, and Irwin are all healthy, our secondary will do the job. We need a stud pass rushing DE... like Shaun Ellis :thumbright:

our dline is young and, i think, will turn into a serious force to deal w/. next year udeze will be a stud and kdub is freaky good. darion scott has looked great for a rookie as late as he was drafted. tice said if we got 10 games out of udeze it would be a steal. well. 16 games isnt too bad. i have a hunch they have been downplaying the injury. we havent heard hardly a thing all year about the injury and everyone said that was going to play a huge factor. work on the shoulder in the offseason and woo. watch out. our secondary is decent. another cb is definatly in need but i would rather get one in the draft than the FA. i would however like to see a LB in the FA like peterson.

Good points. Udeze can/may develop into a K.Williams force on the line, but Mixon and Johnstone are getting a bit long on tooth. They have downplayed Udeze's injury so it will be interesting to see what happens off-season.

johnstone had a good year but your right hes old. and mixon hasnt played well but hes also old so a good de in the FA would be a serious contribution
