I'm curious. What does everyone think about the Vikes free agency situation?
Red's low-ball, cheap ass negotiating tactics definitely piss me off. Mckinnie and company accused us of low-balling and we were under NFL investigation. It seems there may be some merit to this accusation. NOW...I would like to blame everything on the King of Cheap, but this free agency period has been very weird. Look at the Brown situation...We offered Brown a multi-year contract with more money than any other team. BUT, Brown went with a team for a one-year contract which obviously paid him less. What can the Vikes do about that? They are not going to offer more money. Also, I actually like that the Vikes are trying to sign multi-year contracts. They are looking at FA in the long term and not in the short term. Personally, I can't stand FA short term signings, they don't make sense and it is just a waste of money. (I will make one exception and that's Kleinsauser)
What does everyone else think?
