Some details to consider, Cassel played behind a pathetic OL.
You mean like the one I already pointed out in the Buffalo vs Vikings thread? Hey, thanks...I'm enjoying my education.
Just read your post. I saw nothing about Cassel playing behind a pathetic OL compared to the guys Ponder played behind. Starters vs backups. That is reality.
Good lord...an umbrella statement that the OLine was awful pretty much says that, therefore, it's obviously implied, as it is for any QB or RB. The reality is that the starters and backups on the OLine both sucked. Both Cassel and Ponder sucked. Silly argument.

    Frazier: Patterson Not Starter

How is it silly? I said it is not fair to compare the two. Fact is, Cassel played with garbage and Ponder played with the starters. Big difference. How is something obviously implied? Your "umbrella" statement is nothing but cloudy. Cassel outperformed Ponder. The numbers don't lie. Put him with the starters and then you will see the light. Cassel did not suck the first game. Ponder sucked both games!

How does a shitty QB get a nickname? At this point even he looks more decisive and confident than Ponder. Let them both compete for the job.

Simpson is a good starter. In 24 seasons on television, he has not aged a bit.

Yeah! Why should we worry now. We should at least wait until week 2 of the regular season before trying to fix problems.

Who wants our team to actually start firing on all cylinders and playing well together before the regular season anyways? It's only the Lions for cripes sake. We can start working on gelling as a team then.

I think the offence might look a tad different when Peterson eventually gets into the line up
