I doubt he'd still be available at #32 in the 1st round, but if he picking him up would be a no-brainer.
I heard his twin Foot is pretty good

I think we are probably going to have to trade up to get a good QB if we want one in the draft.

trading up for a guy like Locker would be expensive but if he's the guy you want you gotta get him.

Plus I drafted him in Madden and he's really good.

Even a bit early for me to be thinking draft, however, this thread got me thinking (and I had extra time tonight)......Couple of interesting prospects that a team wouldn't have to mortgage the bank to get.....

    Tim Hiller, 6'4", 230 lbs
    http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings...010&genpos=QB#

    http://www.annarbor.com/sports/weste...nfl-prospect/#

    Big, Accurate, Quick release.
    Plays under center.
I like him, based on what I can find on him.
    Anyone seen him play?

My magic 8 ball says most likely it will be McNabb but it could be any number of past their prime over the hill QB's.

    Outside chances would include:

    Delhomme
    Hasselbeck
    Warner
    Vinnie Testaverde

I want to see us trading up in this draft.
As you guys mentioned before, we are young and 7 picks is not going to be worth it to us.
I think this draft will be rich in QB talent so I think we could snag a guy like Snead or someone and then I would like to see us address the secondary and maybe add some depth on the DLine.
If there is a pick left over, I'd then like to pick up a LB to replace Leber in the future or a FB to replace Tahi in the present.

    Lol Testaverde.
    I hope your joking.
I could see Hasselbeck maybe but I think Delhomme is not coming here and I think Warner will retire if he doesn't return as a Cardinal.
If McNabb gets enough people in Philly hatin on him to the point where they bring Kolb back on the field then I could see him in Purp, but ultimately I think we will go in with Tjack and Sage and then possibly draft a QB.

If he returns from injury...perhaps Pennington?

    Re: Franchise QB

A big monkey wrench into this whole QB issue will be if a new CBA isn't done.
In an uncapped year the following affect free agency:

    1) free agency will require six years of service
    2) teams will have three tags to use to restrict free agents instead of one tag
    3) teams that go deep in the playoffs could have some spending restrictions

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=090...o&confirm=true

TJ falls into the less than 6 year FA restriction, thus he won't be a FA.
So he's not going anywhere if a new CBA isn't agreed to by 2010 season starts.
Which IMO given the current issues most likely won't happen.

As for who the Vikes new QB could be, it's anyones guess.

    TJ would be a RFA
