It is funny I have been saying we will be 9-7 and in the playoff hunt. These writers think they are so smart. The didnt give the Vikings a chance im hell ranking them #30 or worse and now they rank them 20 and have them as a sleeper pick. Blows my mind.
Well you can't blame them in some ways.
We went 6 and 10 last year with a veteran QB.
This year we are going with a rookie basically who didn't look that great in the last two games of last years season.
The bright spot of the Vikes last year was the D.
    We lost our Defensive coach.
We have no big name WR.
Our RB is a rookie who never played a down of pro ball.
Our coach last year was not the best of play callers.
Switching to the WC offense is still a work in progress.
I don't blame them for wondering whether we could pull it together.
    Now they know.

I blame them because sports writers are less accountable for their predictions than the local weatherman.

    Re: fox power ranking

I know this is the Fox thread, but has anyone checked out the ESPN one? The Pack is 17th and we are 24th. the only other team 1-0 below us are the Texans at 25th. How does that happen? The Pack get the luckiest win ever and they are so much better than us? I know rankings don't matter, but god damn it. It's ridiculous. I CANNOT WAIT for GB. CANNOT! We will trounch them, after we destroy DET too. I usually let wins do the talking for me, but this is getting me pumped up. I hope the team is using all these naysayers as fuel. SKOL Vikes! Let's rip some heads off this year!!!!!!!

Randy Moss didn't play a single snap during the preseason. Didn't matter. The three-time Pro Bowl receiver made quite an impact in his New England debut
Thats 6 time pro bowler....how are these guys sports writers ?Don't they teach them to research facts?
