    fox power ranking

    http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/powerRankings

Up seven spots from week number 1!
    Nice

The Vikings defense put on quite a show against the Falcons Sunday in Minneapolis. Leslie Frazier's unit gave up only 265 yards, scored two defensive touchdowns, had six sacks, and grabbed two interceptions. Complete dominance. On offense, Adrian Peterson ripped off 163 total yards and quarterback Tarvaris Jackson played well enough in his third career start. The Vikings could end up being a lot better than expected in 2007. With arguably the best offensive and defensive lines in football, they might very well be NFC playoff sleepers.
I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

    Gotta love this statement:

"The Vikings could end up being a lot better than expected in 2007. With arguably the best offensive and defensive lines in football, they might very well be NFC playoff sleepers." - Peter Schrager

I don't see how we can be ranked behind the Packers.
They were fortunate to score a touchdown on a muffed punt.
Then get lucky with a minute to go and recover another muffed punt and kick the winning field goal.

I think it is just part of being in the "muddled middle".
The guy has to rank them somehow.
If you read between the lines, the Vikes victory over a lessor opponant moved us up 7 spots.
The Pack moved up only three spots after winning against a team that was supposed to be good....
Schrager must not have been too impressed with that GIFT of a game!

It's pretty simple...they beat the Eagles, we beat the Falcons.

We were favored, they were underdogs.

We beat the worst team in the NFC, they beat the best team in the NFC East, a playoff team. Granted it was because of a couple flukes, but they still won. I don't like our chances when we play Philadelphia.

What I like most, as I gaze at the teams listed above the Vikings, is a sense that our defense would allow us a good chance to beat most on any given day.
“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

best lines in football... that's a bold claim..

i agree with the d-line.. but the o-line? we couldnt run to the left to save our life yesterdsay.

we didnt run to the left the whole first quarter.

and the big swing pass to AP was to the right, not even to our strong side..

perhaps we should only refer to it as the money side, cause it sure isnt strong
i m better than you, so just give up...

    Good call.
I was thinking the same exact thing.

Randy Moss didn't play a single snap during the preseason. Didn't matter. The three-time Pro Bowl receiver made quite an impact in his New England debut
Thats 6 time pro bowler....how are these guys sports writers ?Don't they teach them to research facts?
