Food for thought
A few years ago the Patriots lost their home opener to Buffalo 31-0.
Consequently, they won the next 15 regular season games, then beat Carolina in the Super Bowl.
Yesterday was a fluke. We turned the ball over 5 times. We should have been out of the game a lot sooner than the 4th quarter, but our defense kept us in it.
Our defense is vastly improved. Culpepper & Co. are never going to look that bad again. We will rise to the top, and we will f@ck some people up this season.
And we will take the Lombardi Trophy, go to a metal shop, and get that bad boy augmented so it reads "Bud Grant Trophy" like it should.

Here is a stat I find interesting.
6 running backs had 100+ yards. All 6 of those teams won. Now that is Epic.
This team has too much talent to not improve. Even with Tice at the helm they will get better. I imagine this may be one of the best things that could have happened.
It's hard on the fans, but it helps the players gauge where they are. Instead of slipping by feeling great and hitting a wall come weak 10. A loss is hard to swallow, but it gives you something to go off of. Something to think about. It takes great coaches to maintain a winning attitude. Bad coaches can motivate after a loss.
How they respond is what matters at this point. We all know they are better then that and so do they.

Yeah, 3 turnovers in a game will kill you, and we had 5, yet were still very much in the game late in the 4th quarter.
I'd much rather lose in week 1, than hit that wall late in the season. But, at the same time, you've got to protect your homefield. We failed to do that, which could very well come back to bite us late in the season.542cbf305f333b0554e8ffa937f852d6
