Is Fonoti going to play for us next year? I haven't seen much on how he is healing up. I sure hope so. I think the Fonoti/Birk combination on the line will be awesome.
He's a free agent this year, but I personally think he will resign for at least a one year deal. He doesnt want to go into free agency after his worst year where he played about 3 snaps. We could get him cheap this year, in which case he would be able to prove himself to the league and get a big contract next year with either us or some other team.

I'm too looking forward to him coming back - he's a Pro-Bowl calibre player and it'd be a shame to see him leave without really gettin to see him.
    I hope your right!

I heard that the old coaching staff basically said that he was big and lazy. But he has to have some skill because he was an all pro. I really hope he can come back and be a great player for us becuase our offensive line needs all the help it can get.
i dont think he was lazy because i remember he was slimming down rather fast. i wish i could slim down like that.

    Re: Fonoti

Fonoti needs to get his weight down & get conditioned into game shape form!

If Childress doesn't like what he sees, he might not get resigned.

The balls in Fonoti's hands. Let's see how much he desires to play at a high level.

I hope he's been doing just that

Fonoti is like Dixon, only like 10 years younger.

I hope he can get in shape, he's got a mean streak to him. With the money he's getting paid i'd have my ass on a tread mill in a hurry.

I think alot of it will come down to wether or not he wants to participate in the offseason training. They can start to get him in playing shape there.

Naw - Dixon was durable. Fonoti has the injury bug.

We will only sign him if he can keep his weight down and gets in better playing shape. As of right now I would say he is a long shot to be back

It is going to be interesting off season as Childress and company evaluate the players we have and the F/A. I would love to be a fly on the wall in those meetings, find out how the grade our players.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.
