Flying under the radar
I must say that the Vikes kind of were set up for this loss. I almost expected it. The Vikings are a team that likes to "fly under the radar", when there is all this hype about how the Vikings are going to win hands down, we tend to blow it. Blowing it to the Redskins, Giants. Bears, almost the Lions last year. And the year before the Chargers (were bad then) Falcons (also were bad then) and the Cardinals. Maybe this first loss has made the Vikings a better football team for the season. Now they will go into each game knowing that they need to play their hardest and give every team we play respect.

I didn't see this loss coming at all. If anything went wrong I that our D wouldnt have played very solid since we had so many new guys working together. Our offense really surprised me.

Re: Flying under the radar
I know exactly what ak is trying to say.
If you look thru some of my earlier (Pre Game Post)....What scared me the most was that every sports writer and handicaper out there, picked the Vikes to win and cover...
It was a clean sweep of picks for the vikes in a number of web sites and papers out there.
I stated before the game, this has always been a bad sign for any team......I had a bad gut feeling when seeing this...
I was also one to pick the Vikes to win though....I believe I said, Vikes 28 Bucs 17...something around there anyway...
The real winners in a game like the Vikes VS Bucs game are the Bookies and Casinos.......they love the sweep pics and then an upset outcome.....They make bundles..
I LOVE THE SMELL OF VICTORY IN THE MORNING AIR.

Re: Flying under the radar
The offense really did suprise me too. I thought that the offense would be mediocre and the Defense would be halfway decent. Boy, was I wrong...

There was a lot of hype about this game, but I had a gut feeling we would win. Shows what my gut knows.
