That guy is retarded.
What about 4 straight years of going 6-10, 9-7, 8-8 and 9-7 with one of the most high powered offenses and two of the best talents in the NFL (Moss/Culpepper) on your team? How about the love boat? How about missing draft picks?I wouldn't have given up on Tice after a 9-7 season either."
C'mon...the guy needed to go! Wake up!

That always gives me a good laugh.
Hell a few weeks ago someone managed to say Tice never had a losing season in his tenure here................HELLO!??? People just pull stuff out of their asses.

Childress - if nothing else - has his team in games most every weekend.
There have been a couple of clunkers (NE & NYJ) but they have had their chance to win every other game.
A few skill players on offense and another year with his system and hopefully they'll be able to turn the corner so they can win those contests.

Re: In first year, Childress hasn't adjusted or impressed
Definitely a weak article, but the title probably hits home with a lot of people at this point.
It was definitely time for Tice to go, actually overdue.
The Childress era is still TBD, but I remain optimistic that he will improve this team over the next 2 years and make them a true SB contender.
Lets see what Childress does to address the WR and QB position in the offseason.
If Brad is gone, we need a solid #2 that can be the starter if TJ isn't ready or proves to be a flop.
WR is the most glaring need, a true #1 is needed to make the passing game real.
The penalties need to get cleaned up as well, but you got to believe that is something that can be fixed (having playmakers on offense should help with this as well).
What I'm not convinced of is that Childress will go out and get a high profile player to play WR.
More than likely he will try and field a group of 4-5 quality receivers, but no true star.
He'll bring in potential and it will be up to TJack to make him a star.

I said that during free agency this year & they did not target one. They needed a reputable veteran QB to back Brad up. That need still needs to be addressed.
........ we need a solid #2 that can be the starter......
I think they didn't go after one of the better veterans out there to assume back up duties, mainly because of what they were paying Brad.

Even to get a Gus Frerotte in the 2006 market, you'd have to pay him more than what Brad was getting.
So then they would have had to pay Brad more.
Zygi went on the cheap and we've had a succession of also-rans and never-was pass through here behind Johnson this year:
McMahon, O'Sullivan, Bollinger & Hensen.
Ick.

Sansevere is like most newspaper sports reporters in this town they all hate sports and they hate the local teams.
He doesn't like Childress and hasn't from the day he got here, and him, Souhan & Reusse have been after Childress because he didn't kiss their a$$es when he took over the job like Tice did. What we've got here is failure to communicate.
