I can't see Shank making it this season.
    (or ever)
It won't be due to skill, it will be because there are some gol 'darnit good TE's in this league.
(at least one that will get in by name alone, A.K.A the Matt Birk Syndrome)
Shank led the league in TE receiving TDs last year... with Gus and TJ throwing to him and a serious case of the dropsies the first part of the year.
If our Offense can turn into a NE style juggernaut with the addition of Load, PH, and Favre... watch out... Shanc could approach 60 catches and 10+ TDs with 700 - 800 yards receiving... the fact that he's in Minny will stop him from getting much love but his 7 TDs last year are going to get him on a lot of fantasy rosters this year.
I see Shank making it before EJ and Greenway honestly.

Aren't Gonzo and Wittin in the AFC?

Jason Witten has been with the Dallas Cowboys his entire career.

Tony Gonzalez was traded from Kansas City to Atlanta before the draft this year.

That's actually a good point. I guess I'll just say I see Shiancoe having a pro-bowl caliber season. Whether or not that's good enough we'll have to see.
    Skol Vikings! Go Cubs!

My bad, I thought Witten was the guy in Indy... should've known that!

Thanks for the read, but seriously, who the hell cares who makes it to the Probowl?

I wanna know how many will finally start playing up to thier potential, fit into the scheme and execute more consistently which will get us more wins.
If one of your lackeys at work got some award, for doing what you do just as well, with say a trip to Hawaii, you would be pissed.
    How does that play here?
As a fan, I could give a crap about individual accolades.
I want to see the TEAM win something as a team instead of a few select individuals winnings some sort of popularity contest that doesn't mean shit.

You want to see the TEAM win - unless they win by using ex-Packers to help, right?

    You'd be surprised.

Personally, I don't put much into it, but in the end it all comes down to respect.
When you're voted to the pro bowl, it means teammates, coaches and fans respect your ability to play.
Plus its always nice when you have a bunch of pro bowlers.
Gets your team some attention, something we desperately need if we want a stadium done any time soon.
I hear ya about the coaches and players, however, when they take the "Fans" vote away which will give this some credence again, it doesn't mean crap.

Seriously, used to love to watch this when I was younger, but now, I just tune in to see how our guys are doing and then change it.
