Thread: first preseason game

Well that was a decent defensive series. All backups, but good job regardless.

Watching Smith now. Looks OK, although all of the plays have been away from him. Want to see what happens when he is involved.

Christian Ponder’s stat line doesn’t jump off the page, but it was actually better than it looked.

The Vikings’ starter was 4-of-9 passing for 80 yards, leading a pair of field goal drives. But of the five incompletions, three were dropped, and the other two thrown away.

Webbs mechanics seemed to have regress. He is so slow.... and deliberate.

Wow. That was a gift. That should have been intentional grounding. The ball landed 10 yards out of bounds and 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage with Webb still in the pocket.

Agreed. There is something weird here. He was much better than this last year or even his rookie year. I wonder if the coaching staff has been trying to "teach" him how to be a more traditional QB, and it has affected his natural ability.

1st O-line looked decent against the best d-line in football.

Webb didn't look anything like an NFL QB, MBT on the other hand looked promising.Hopefully we don't have to use either one of these guys.

I love the way MBT threw the ball. His passes looked really nice (except for the ugly interception).
