Final Roster and Cuts

Only one I was sort of surprised with was Shuler over Mills. I thought Mills had some good hands, it must have come down to blocking, although Dugan and Kleiny are good blockers.

Besides that I'm not shocked, even by the Walker release, there are younger faster kids on the cut lists. The possibility of Housh being available was probably the deciding factor.

I was pretty damn close in my prediction. I only things I got wrong is that when we traded Reynaud and kept Young. We kept Griffin and Cooper instead of Radovich and Clark. Walker surprised me but it must mean we want TJ. The Mickey situation made me wonder. We never even seen this guy on the field to my knowledge. I don't like the Sage trading but love to see Webb on the roster. Also, I was wrong about keeping D'Imperio.

I think Darius shocked everyone.
I expected Griffen not to be PUPed because he needs to be at top form for Dallas week 6 and GB week 7. Not being able to practice for the first 6 weeks wouldn't get him in shape.

Cooper - Radovich was probably a coin toss.

Walker surprised most, but they must be confident they can get Housh to cut the # of WR's so low.

The Shuler instead of Mills made me wonder, but I imagine it's another TJ, practice field star or just a better blocker than Mills. Which protecting Favre and opening holes for AD is a primary need at TE.

Besides Housh, I'm not sure how many roster moves they need and if they do, how long they will stay given Griff, Cook and Sully will force early cuts before a OL or CB can get up to speed.

I am perplexed as to how Tahi is still on this team. Getting D'Imperio on the PS has me holding out hope that they will at some point dump Tahi and pull D'Imperio up. I like what he brings to the table.

I imagine that they just plan on running the three of them out there whenever the Saints line up three wide (which is often) and having the safeties help as much as possible.

My guess is that we dial down the blitzes and rely on a Game 1, fresh defensive line getting to Brees as often as possible.

Definitely wary of going into this game this short at that position.
