I like D'Imperio, because I don't like Tahi, and he's a Rutgers guy, I think he'll be a special teams stud and in time an excellent lead blocker at FB. Realistically though, it's probably Onatolu's roster spot. I think we should keep Frampton as well, for the same reason, special teams.

Rice and Griffin will start the season on the PUP list I am guessing. This means they will not be taking up a roster spot.

Yes they are both on the PUP list. They can stay there for 6 games.

I don't like only 4 CBs ... but I don't see any other CBs that really have a shot at making the squad. If they think that Griffin will be back before Week 6, then they will throw him on the roster instead of PUP, which means that Fred Evans or Guion are out of luck.

Evans and Guion are locks. Like me and you discussed before (since the posts were deleted), it will be between Tahi and D'Imperio.

Been reading a book by Kirwan (Take your eye off the ball) about how to watch the game and analyze it a bit.....

I think, based on what I've read in other books and what Pat says in that book, the packages that are being sent out, especially the mix/matches of the OL are driving those play selections.

Long story short, the staffs use these games to look at things that will help them pick/develop the best players instead of trying to win.

In short, TJ is working the team out for the staff (running stuff that might or might not work with that package), and the staff is "Show Casing" Sage (running things the team is comfortable with that should suceed.


Not sure if that is very accurate, but it makes sense to me.

What you want and what will happen are probably two different things.

This was not the roster I WANTED ... but the way I THINK it will ACTUALLY shake out.

There is a 0% chance that Heath Farwell is not on this roster. No matter what crazy reasons you have for disliking him the last three seasons Marr.

Naw, I'm good with our S's. I don't blame them for not playing the way most want them to, I blame the scheme.

Quick question, who do you blame, Whinny for handing over the WR to the S who was (by scheme design) helping the LB over the top, or the S for helping out the LB running with the TE?

Yeah ... especially with the way things have shook out ... I could definitely see them adding a CB ... maybe Wright or a waiver pick up and leaving Frampton at home.

I think the first cut is likely a safety from this list as carrying 5 is probably not going to happen if they carry 5 CBs.
