Yes they are both on the PUP list. They can stay there for 6 games.Mr Anderson wrote:
Rice and Griffin will start the season on the PUP list I am guessing. This means they will not be taking up a roster spot.Where's Rice and Griffin?
They're hurt, yes, but not on IR(or they'd be unable to return until the 2011 season.) They will take 2 of the 53. Or am I missing something?
Narrowing down the Final 4 to a Final 2.
I like D'Imperio, because I don't like Tahi, and he's a Rutgers guy, I think he'll be a special teams stud and in time an excellent lead blocker at FB. Realistically though, it's probably Onatolu's roster spot. I think we should keep Frampton as well, for the same reason, special teams.

Evans and Guion are locks. Like me and you discussed before (since the posts were deleted), it will be between Tahi and D'Imperio. And with that ... here is what I think the 53 will look like
Offense (24)
QB (3) - Favre, T-Jack, Webb
RB (3) - Peterson, Gerhart, Reynaud
FB (2) - Tahi, D'Imperio
WR (5) - Berrian, Harvin, Camarillo, Lewis, Walker
TE (3) - Shiancoe, Kleinsasser, Duggan
OL (8) - McKinnie, Herrera, Hutchinson, Sullivan, Loadholt, Cook, DeGeare, Radovich
Defense (26)
DE (5) - Allen, Edwards, Robison, Griffen, Mitchell
DT (5) - P. Williams, K. Williams, Kennedy, Guion, Evans
LB (7) - EJ Henderson, Greenway, Leber, Brinkley, Farwell, Onatolu, Erin Henderson
CB (4) - Winfield, Sheppard, Cook, Allen,
S (5) - Johnson, Abdullah, Williams, Frampton, Sanford
Special Teams (3)
K (1) - Longwell
P (1) - Kluwe
LS (1) - Loeffler
I don't like only 4 CBs ... but I don't see any other CBs that really have a shot at making the squad. If they think that Griffin will be back before Week 6, then they will throw him on the roster instead of PUP, which means that Fred Evans or Guion are out of luck.

Been reading a book by Kirwan (Take your eye off the ball) about how to watch the game and analyze it a bit.....LOL
Ya know...I was just about to post a long rebuttal, showing what I thought was going to be irrefutable evidence that T-Jack has shown only what he's been ALLOWED to show by the coaches...
Having looked at the play-by-play of the last 3 games for T-Jack, however, I've seen nothing but plays that looked like they were drawn up by ,or for, an Oompa Loompa (short right, short middle, short left).
That makes me wonder...was he SUPPOSED to throw all those short passes, or is that all he feels comfortable doing, ie. consistently checking down to a dump-off target? Is that why the coaches pull him out sooner than Sage?
Or is it that his primary receivers are always that well-covered, or the line doesn't allow him enough time to let the receivers get downfield?
I'll admit...I'm rethinking my stance on keeping T-Jack over Sage. I'm gonna have to do some more research on this, I guess. LOL
I think, based on what I've read in other books and what Pat says in that book, the packages that are being sent out, especially the mix/matches of the OL are driving those play selections.
Long story short, the staffs use these games to look at things that will help them pick/develop the best players instead of trying to win.
In short, TJ is working the team out for the staff (running stuff that might or might not work with that package), and the staff is "Show Casing" Sage (running things the team is comfortable with that should suceed.
Not sure if that is very accurate, but it makes sense to me.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

My guess, they get another roster spot by jettisoning one of your LB'rs. I would opt to let Farwell go and add another CB.Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

This was not the roster I WANTED ... but the way I THINK it will ACTUALLY shake out.
There is a 0% chance that Heath Farwell is not on this roster. No matter what crazy reasons you have for disliking him the last three seasons Marr.

Quick question, who do you blame, Whinny for handing over the WR to the S who was (by scheme design) helping the LB over the top, or the S for helping out the LB running with the TE?Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

I think the first cut is likely a safety from this list as carrying 5 is probably not going to happen if they carry 5 CBs.
