Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports the Minnesota Vikings are hosting assistant coach Henry Lusk as part of the NFL minority program. Lusk is the receivers coach at Weber State.

Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports the Minnesota Vikings are hosting assistant coach Corey Raymond as part of the NFL minority program. Raymond played six season in the NFL with the Detroit Lions and New York Giants.

Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports the Minnesota Vikings are hosting assistant coach Kanavis McGhee as part of the NFL minority program. McGhee is a former NFL linebacker and defensive end who coached in NFL Europe this spring.

I hope this doesn't sound overly bad, but why all the need for "minority coaches?" And are those for white players because they are in the minority of the team members? This is a serious question.

Are these coaches of a minority race or so to speak, minor league type coaches, as in "green horns"?

Ahhhhh, now that makes sense. They are not coaching minority players but they are minorities who are learning how to coach. So are we hire them or are they doing it free for the experience? The headline from KFFL says "hiring" but the body of the story says "hosting."

Cripes -- It looks like there are more coaches than players here already! :lol:
