Yes they are.....Is that Jeff Garcia and Drew Brees on that list?
Problem is, I still haven't been convinced that the timing to get Brees was there.
In fact, I still think that the Chiller thought Pepp was gonna be his McNabb.
As to Garcia, first trip, I don't think anyone had a chance.
He jetted to TB cause that is were he thought he was gonna win the big one.
To bad for him, all that proved is he is a career 9-7 QB that isn't gonna get it done anymore. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Out of those names, prior to coming here, who would you call a player of significance?
Maybe Williams, but we were banking on him continuing to get better (so far so good).
We scooped Kluwe off Waivers, Leber was "meh" in SD.
Wade was nothing special, Shiancoe was a backup.
Those don't scream significance to me.
Lets not also forget guys like Kevin Curtis and TJ Housh who turned us down, likely because of the offensive Scheme (chilly's scheme) and lack of QB (CHilly's QB)

Quick question, do you think any of them don't play a significant role on this team regardless of what thier rep was before they got here?
A wise man once said, "Just because you don't know thier name, don't mean they can't play ball." :
Ahhh but LNAD and BB wanted to come play with offense and its crop of QB's.Lets not also forget guys like Kevin Curtis and TJ Housh who turned us down, likely because of the offensive Scheme (chilly's scheme) and lack of QB (CHilly's QB)
And Chilly's QB?
How about the Vikings QB?
Seriously, you don't think I am gonna agree with you that TJ is only on this roster because the Chiller drafted him now do you?
Was the state of the QB a consideration for those two (point out some others that turned us down) and thier decision?
Absolutely.
I wonder if Curtis would reconsider about now though.
Comeon my friend.
Hell of nice try, but ya gotta bring your "A" game today.

You don't think TJ was given so many chances because he was our hot prospect? Weren't we trying to mold him into our QB of the future from day one, when we gave up 2 third round picks, to trade up and get him? We had him rated below Ryan Cook on draft day... The worst of it is we didn't even try to get competition. The lack of competition is what hitched the trailer. We signed a bunch of never has beens... Arm strength and athleticism are great, but decision making and mental preparation are far more important.

He has hitched his wagon to TJ.

That is one of those cliche's that just make me giggle.......Seriously, does anyone really believe that players just stand out there and draw stuff in the turf purposely defying the coaching staff? They can win despite him being our HC... not because of him.
And those plays, drawn up in the turf actually work out to exploit matchups better than what was sent in by the coaches.......
WOW.

Although the quoted statement might still be accurate.
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/06/22/adding-favre-is-an-all-in-move-for-childress/Lombardi says that players who have left the Vikings call the Childress version of the West Coast offense a “day-one install,†meaning that it’s very bland and generic stuff.
That’s a far cry from the “kick ass†scheme that Childress promised, and it’s closer in line with the keep-it-close-and-hope-for-a-late-break brand of “Chillyball†that we’ve perceived over the past three years.

Coaching is overated, we probably wouldn't have won a superbowl if we had vince lombardi coaching, players win, coaches go along for the ride.
