I saw this title of this thread and thought you had a "feeling" for Bard.

May want to keep that to yourself.

    Re: Feeling for brad...

In all honesty, I feel badly for Brad too.
He tried, he simply isn't the right guy at this time, and it shows.
He's had an incredible career, but with THIS team, it's time to move on.

I don't think that all the boos were neccessarily directed at Brad Johnson, I think many of them were really directed at Brad Childress for allowing the mediocrity to continue for so long.
Like in Hockey, if your goalie is getting torched, you pull him.
You put in the "other guy" and hope that your team stabilizes.
    Childress didn't.
Series after series, game after game, he went with Johnson...and we lost, week after week.

In Brad Johnson's shoes, it has to be hard to hear that - the boos.
I guess I thought that maybe we'd have a better season to send him off on.
    But, we didn't.
And after todays game adn "The Tale of Two Offenses", I really can't see him under center again this year...or next.

    So, good luck, Brad.
    Thanks for the memories.

    Caine

yeah it was sad seeing brad the man's face...he must have felt bad. but childress is so damn hard headed it took the fans to boo him off the field and realize we need to be playing jackson.
Q: At your age, can you handle a full season?
A: I m 37, number one. I took my family to Perkins a couple of days ago, and they didn t hand me a senior citizens discount card, so I feel pretty good.

He had a good career and now it's pretty much done...he will have a good rest of his life...so don't spend too much time worrying about him.
    Oh yea....and he's also a multi-millionaire.

Could have at least 2-3 more good years holding a clip board if willing.

I really doubt that the fans booing had much to do with Tarvaris playing. I think at that point Childress would have put him in anyway.

At least, that's how I see it.

I do feel bad for Brad though. He's been such a good player for so long, and he's done a lot for this franchise, despite his struggles this year. I just hope he knows the fans appreciate him, even if we don't like the way he has played at times this year.

I respect the career Brad has had but I do not feel too bad for him.
This is part of the league, the game has passed him which happens to everyone.
Besides, he has caused me plenty of heart ache this season.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

    Re: Feeling for brad...

The boos were definitly directed to Brad CHILDRESS. Brad Johnson is who he is. The anouncers said it at the beginning and throughout the season that this is what we were going to see ALL season....and we did.

This is the first I've said this out loud, but I have lost some confidence in Coach Childress. I think that he's been too stubborn for his own good. But, ya never know. Only time will tell the story.

True! I hope he does realize he is appreciated.

I like Brad, I just think it is time to move on.

    Yes, his struggles.......
He had some success, was a good leader and was ousted by Denny infavor of DC.
He comes back and gets ousted again by a young buck.

I do feel bad for him, granted I'm happy to finally make the change, but his career should not of ended like this. And I wish him nothing but luck on any future endeavors.
