Brett Favre must receive medical clearance to play in Minnesota's final game....

No way to add a poll?
Who should start, Webb or Favre?

Webb.
The Vikings have next season on beyond to play for, give guys that are going to be possibly part of that play. Not a guy that has "again" stated he is done.
I can see the Vikes giving Brett a farewell game as well.. but I think it hampers the team moving forward.
Let Webb see if he can string two games together and maybe even take another step in development.
Frasier is in a tough spot though.. win now or build for next season.. with the question of how he fits in.

With Favre at QB, I think the Eagles would have beaten the Vikes. Who knows, but I think the team rallied around Webb in my opinion. There is absolutly no upside to playing favre, other than to make him feel wanted.
Playing Webb gives the Vikings another Look at Webb, the same look they should have been having all season. If the Vikings lose this week they lose, but atleast they will learn something. If the play Favre and lose, they will also learn something, (they should have played Webb)
The owners and the coach need a strategy, they need a goal, they need to be on the same page. If the owners get upset about a loss in the final game that means nothing, while trying to get another look at a quarterback that just had a fantastic game, and the Coach has to fear for his job because of this, then I'd really have to start wondering if this is a team I'd want to coach for.
The Vikings don't owe Favre anything. This is a team sport. When you start doing things in the best interest of one player, you take away the team element and weaken the team, when you no longer have a team, you become losers. I hate to say it, but in my opinion this is exactly what happened this year. Fraizer needs to break the chain of bad decision making or it will continue.None

I agree to us the fan.. it seems obvious that Brett isn't the answer.. that was clear early in the season.

Probably phrased it poorly.. but Frasier is in a pickle.. if he doesn't start Favre.. it appears he isn't all in to win.. at least in some eyes apparently. If that wasn't the case... why trot Brett out there onto the frozen tundra with no practice time and a late call up.
IMO.. Frasier is getting his nuts pinched here.. more or less.

Simply put, Frasiers game plan and Webb at QB made for what I think was the best game of the year. Don't fix what ain't broken!
even having this discussion is so crazy I can't believe I'm talking about it. I'll stopNone

I know my friend. That was one post I wish I would have thought about before I hit send, but damn, enough is enough already.

3. Staff has to come up with 2 gameplans. 1 for the Noodle, 1 for Webb so that will be less detailed.
I mean seriously, who in thier right mind can't see that he is hurting rather than helping.
The way I see it, its kindof like deer hunting. I spend hours and hours shooting my bow, shooting my guns, scouting the woods, fixing the trails, fixing the deer stands. Why, cause its something that has to be done to be successful (and safe).
Waltzing up and saying, hey, I'm ready to play cause I love to play the game without any prep is not only ineffective, but not safe either.
Again, props to the Noodle for helping Joe last week on the sidelines. If he was the pro/leader a few seem to think he is, he would do that.
Anyway, I promise. That is the last commment/rant you will ever hear out of me on him again. Promise. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
