Hey old guys, how much worse did you feel at 40 than 39? Seriously, the guy came back from a torn biceps and major surgery to repair it, only to have his best season ever.
One year later does anyone actually think he can't come back from arthroscopic ankle surgery?

I would just as sonn see him wait until we lose a couple, then come out of retirement.
However, if he doesn't return, so be it.“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

I refuse to give Favre's retirement any credibility until he misses a regular season game.
That said I feel a little sick to my stomach right now.

I think one thing being ignored is Favre's family situation.
He just became a grandfather recently, maybe he wants to just be with his family and watch the kid grow for his first year of life.

Has he had the talk, with his daughter, on the back porch yet?

Brett and his daughter were sitting on their back porch. Breleigh had tears streaming down her face. Brett’s heart was touched my his baby girls’ tears. Breleigh told him in her tears, “Daddy, I wanted you to go back and win one more Super Bowl.” Brett breathed a sigh of relief and asked her why she didn’t tell him that before. She replied “I didn’t want to make that decision for you.”“What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. It’s the ability to play on critical downs.
