Favre disses Jackson
...indirectly, but strongly, in a quote from ESPN:
"If I'm going to play Sunday, I want to play the whole game and give us a chance to win."
Sounds very much to me like he's saying we have no chance to win with Jackson at the helm.
Things are going to hell rapidly now.

Re: Favre disses Jackson
No.
That's out of context twisting at its worst.
He meant that did not want to play unless he was able to play well. He has stated this clearly several times.
He said there's no point in playing unless he can play well enough to help the team.
What he's saying is that if he can't play well enough to give the team a chance to win--he doesn't want to play. That has nothing to do with Jackson.
I doubt that he'll play anyway. The Vikings/Pats just want to hype the drama in order to sell tickets and raise ratings. It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.

Re: Favre disses Jackson
I hope you are right about that, but it was a new quote from today. He's also said that he won't put in a full practice this week, but then again, he's "willing to give it a try" if he's allowed to play.
We've heard the injury thing before, and he has always come in and played. I am afraid that it will happen again.

Re: Favre disses Jackson
Anybody who read that quote and saw it as a diss of Jackson is really looking way to hard.

Re: Favre disses Jackson
I'm guessing he does NOT play.....reason being he really shouldn't and the trainers know it.....
But the main reason is that some drama can build with Favre on the bench and Jackson (probably) struggling.....so I see no negative impact on tickets or ratings.
The real question is......WILL Favre agree to sit on the bench?
I just don't think he can do it at this point and will be strongly tempted to head for Mississippi and shoot some quail. It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.
