I might be crazy but I would not count Ponder out.
With a new system the playing field has been leveled and they all have a chance to show what they can do.

I'll probably watch, but opening kickoff will resemble this...

There is a new feeling with the Vikings, and you HAVE to think a veteran like Cassel feels it. Last year, when Frazier gave him the nod, there were times of pure excellence; yeah, that was followed by bonehead mistakes, but Cassel NEVER had the coaches confidence. That was made very plain, even when guys like AP were out and out saying Cassel was the true leader of the offense.

I really hope Cassel takes the opportunity in front of him and RUNS with it. I would love to see him put up games like the Steelers game last year, and Bridgewater is forced into a Aaron Rodgers role when he was waiting behind Farve and chomping at the bit. If we can give Teddy a year or even TWO of being the back up, it does nothing but good things for him and our future.

Until I see otherwise, I think the Ponder thing is an attempt to get a good draft pick. I am admitting right now I was wrong about not trading him in the off season for a low end pick in this year's draft!!

Purple People Eaters. Would be great but I also loved the Denny Green scoring machine. To have both would be Valhalla.

I agree. I really hope Bridgewater spends most of this season wearing a hat and holding a clipboard while our players/coaches are gelling. I'm sure he'll do well in practice and preseason but he still needs some time to develop.
