That is the amount Vikings linebacker Heath Farwell has been fined by the NFL for a third-quarter hit last Friday on St. Louis quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in the preseason opener for both teams..

I would say that fine is a questionable. This is fine its football They are literally 1 step away from playing a gigantic ball pit with all the players moms on the sideline saying "hey stop that, stop hitting him. Truly a garbage fine.

Not only a garbage fine, but a garbage call to begin with.
As I stated in another thread, that was a clean and technicaly sound hit he laid on Fitz.....

He should have recieved congratulations, not a fine...

I don't like that fine. We might just as well put skirts on the Quarterbacks and have them do Pamprin commercials the way things are going.

Should he have been penalized? Yes. Fined? No.

And he's a special teamer, it's not like he has the deepest pockets.

When a QB leaves the pocket he becomes a runner. He got drilled by a guy going 110%, there was no way he could have pulled up. Maybe he lead with his helmet. I think it was a questionable call, and the fine is far too much.

If you watch the play, which I did at least 4 times.
He never took more than one step towards Fitz, when fitz was still in the process of realeasing the ball...This is legal.

He hit Fitz in the chest with his face mask area, this is also legal, and it waan't the top of his helmet, which would be spearing

Totaly clean and well excicuted play on his part...The fine is a joke...

I agree he only took one, and I thought you were allowed two.
