    Farwell & Moore

Farwell and Moore should be starting for a NFL team.
Farwell is a beast. plain and short.
He hasn't been given the opportunity to start a game.
In my eyes he would dominate, ala Urlacher and Hawk.
Put him in the rotation now!

    Mewelde is also a beast.
I'd shoulder him against CT easily.

These guys haven't had a chance to show their breakout performances in the last two seasons.

    What do you guys think?

    Oh yeah, and hello.

First of all, welcome to PP.O, you should go introduce yourself in the Free Beer forum.

Then to your post. I don't know if I'd call them starters per se. But I'm happy that they are on our team, and where they are at right now. I don't see them challenging the starters we've got at the moment.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

    Welcome.
There is no LB rotation for the Vikings.
Henderson, Greenway & Leber play 100% of the snaps on defense, depending on the set (3 LBs, 2 LBs, 1 LB, etc).
While I love Farwell, I don't think he's better than any of those three.

    Mewelde is also a beast.

Mewelde has never shown the durability necessary to be a feature back in the NFL.
I, personally, am comfortable with AD and Chester for the next 3 seasons.

In my eyes, Farwell >= Leber.
We should give him a chance in the starting rotation.

I remember watching Farwell in some of the preseason games as an OLB.
    He was outstanding.
On the ball, all the time, every time.
I'm not trying to dismay our current LB's.
He is a player that it is underrated.

Also, watch Moore go to the Bears or Pack season.
He's got a similar spark as Westbrook.

I'd just hate to see them go.

Well I just don't know. I think Leber keep making plays too when he's in the game.

But I agree that we'll probably lose Moore to somewhere where he'll be more than the 3rd guy. Even if I know at least a few people on this forum that'll be sad to see him go. But it's just going to happen.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

    Leber is great!
Maybe we should run a 2:5 and they won't know what LB will rush LOL...
    Chew on that for awhile.

Our DL is great at the moment.
I think our ends being rotated is the correct way to go.
We've got young talent that is greatly misused.
I also believe Evans is also not used enough for 2nd down when the "Williams Wall" is tired.
Evans reminds me of mini Pat Williams.

Put the corners on cover and let Sharper and Smith cover the middle...

Leber is one of our best players. He is getting better and better on blitzes.

Farwell is great on ST, but there has to be a reason why he's not starting in this league. It's clear that he's not a great linebacker overall but is an awesome ST player.

Memo has never proven to be anything more than a 3rd down back. We have Chester Taylor and Adrian Peterson, the best 1-2 punch at RB in the league. Don't give me the "memo needs more playing time."

Memo was given an oppertunity to be our feature back once upon a time. He had consistent injury problems which hurt his stock. He looks to have lost some speed and power from his rookie days and possibly some confidence. I wonder whatever happened to his superior stiff arm. But we are blessed to still have him.

Farwell showed some flashes of skills in the preseason, but he was against #2 teams. Hard to tell how well he would do as a 1st teamer in a real game. But I like his aggresiveness. I wouldn't mind seeing him take a series or 2 in Greenway's spot to see what he gots. But Leber and Henderson has been playing too good to take any time from them. Don't forget we still have Dontarrious Thomas who actually showed some skills in the preseason as well. And hes probably next in line.

It depends.. Thomans is 2nd in line in a lot of ways because he's our most versatile backer.
I'm not sure if he is right now and I dont care to look, but earlier in the season he was listed as the primary back for all three LB positions.

Now, if we were to go to a 3-4 defense, i actually believe Vinny Cuircui would be the 4th LB in there, not Thomas or Farwell.

Now as for Moore, I love the guy, and if we can keep him for a 3rd RB, i'm going to be a very happy man.
    But it probably won't happen.
Tahi has shown a lot of improvement over the season, being able to play on special teams, HB & FB, and because of that the coaching staff is falling for him quickly.
Earlier in the season Tahi saw some playing time over MeMo (altho vs the kitties, they put in MeMo at RB, and Tahi @ FB)

Farwell said himself, "I knew special teams was my ticket to the NFL".
He's a master of his art, and he's come to terms with the fact that, barring injury, thats pretty much going to be the extent and the legacy of his career.

    Pretty sure Evans is/was suspended......
