In a corner of the visitors' locker room at Giants Stadium on Sunday, two of the Vikings' more reserved players were uncharacteristically chirpy...

Re: Heath Farwell - He's here, there, everywhere

Farwell is a beast.
I loved watching him in training camp where he consistantly made plays against the 2nd & 3rd string offenses.
When given the chance he showed he could do it vs the starting O also.

Vikings coach Brad Childress mentioned the stellar play of his special-teams coverage, which allowed Bradshaw a modest average of 22 yards per kickoff return. The Vikings have the league's third-best kickoff coverage unit.
wasn't aware of that.
One messed up missed FG returned for a TD and people are callin for Ferrero's head.
Must be doing SOMETHING right at least

All year Heath Farwell has been a special team monster. It's great that he is getting some recognition for his hustle, and nose for the ball.

Vikings: Need a tackle? Special teams ace Farwell has it covered

Heath Farwell knew special teams were his route to the NFL. Now, he's one of the best in the game.

Like many starters at San Diego State, Heath Farwell could have dropped off special teams during his senior year in 2004.....

when this guy retires... i want him as our special teams coach.
He obviously has a gift for it, and has a very good worth ethic and isn't a selfish guy.

I'm sure he could come up with some awesome schemes~

I know I am not from Mpls, and I think Sid Hartman is like a local ledgend, so I hope I am not saying something sacriligeous, but is he getting a liitle old to be doing this or something?
He is hard to understand and not real clear in speaking.
Surprising for a sports guy.
Or is he more of a writer normally than an on air personality?

Just wondering I see his name all the time, but dont know much about him.

Yea he's a sports writer, normally the only video interviews you'll see of him are locker room interviews

Farwell is the man on special teams. I try to watch him on every kickoff as he usually destroys his blocker and makes it downfield in perfect time to take down the ballcarrier. It's always nice to have a guy like that on special teams who has it as his only job on the team... that kind of frees him up to focus on it all week.

I liked the pickup of Ciurciu too in the offseason. Kind of shows that we like guys who will hustle on special teams.
