fannball.com with an interesting view on the Vikings QBs

Stated that "no wonder QB Jackson only 6 of 19 passes yesterday. He suffered a broken finger on his passing hand during the game. Vikings coach Brad Childress still insists that he will start if he is ok next Sunday against the Eagles.

Fanball view: Let's see. Childress would rather start a first year QB with a broken finger on his passing hand rather than resever Kelly Holcomb who has been in the Eagles camp all summer who is healthy and probably wants revenge on them. Sure, makes sense to me.......

I cut and pasted it here:

    THE NEWS
It appears as though there might be an excuse for Tarvaris Jackson completing only five passes during Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. Head coach Brad Childress told the AP that Jackson suffered a broken index finger on his passing hand during the game. He added that Jackson would still start on Sunday against the Eagles if he's able to play.
    Our View
Let's get this straight. Childress is considering the idea of going with a first-year starter who has a broken finger on his passing hand as opposed to veteran backup Kelly Holcomb, who spent all summer trying out for the Eagles in training camp. Sure, that makes sense. Either way, fantasy owners should avoid the Purple's quarterback mess.
