Fan Of Vikings First/Or Fan Of Game First?

The Vikes, I love football as a whole but I'd probably lose a lot of interest if the vikes magically went away.
I don't spend the off season obsessing with who the Gophers are going to recruit or what other teams are doing in the off season, I'm obsessed with who the Vikes are going to sign and draft or trade.

The Vikings, easy. I have been a Vikings fan since birth. When I got older I started keeping track of them a little more and then I learned about the game from that. I started getting real serious about learning football when I first came on here....I was forced to learn and learn quickly or else I wouldn't last to long around here with some of the members....and we all know who those are

Its a great game and I will never be able to learn it all even if I had 10 lifetimes.....but I suppose that is why it is so great.

Football is the best sport there is for me. The Vikings will always bring the passion out in me. I like to watch college football and I enjoy most of the conferances, with favorite's in each. That said Minnesota Viking football has been a family tradition since I can remember. Joe Kapp was my childhood hero, and they are still able to bring the emotion out of me. Winning and losing still affects my week.

I used to keep up with all 32 teams, and could probably name the starters, but as I have gotten older time has had to be budgeted, so now from free-agency to the draft through the season it's all Vikings, and you can bet a victory at Greenbay can still bring a tear to my eye. Viking Proud.

I was a fan of the game first, being from the UK we only started getting any NFL coverage in the early 80's and for the first year of watching I never had a favorite team. Having said that if Minnesota were ever to lose the Vikes, the game would never be the same for me, so it 's the Vikings first all the way for me now.

Definately the Vikings. I was that guy last weekend that started Phillip Rivers in 2 of my 4 leagues because he was playing the Vikings and was still happy that he had a terrible game. I also didnt have any better options to start, but was still cheering on every incomplete pass.

I can't put the cart before the horse.
MY Dad & Grandpa were rabid Vikings fans as soon as Minneapolis got the franchise when I was 6 years old.
Vikings fan came first and then football fan, Twins fan first then baseball fan......
