I have just received word from my partner, Tetris, who for some reason uses the same user name as me, probably because we work in the same office in Winnepeg, but the office only has one computer, that our other partner, Pool Table, has received word from <insert local news station call letters here> that a big trade is in the works.

This is still being talked about in hushed terms, but has already been passed around to Gary Bettman, commissioner of the NHL, for approval (since the NFL offices are still so busy with the approval of the last trade, Bettman said he wasn't doing anything right now).

In the trade:

The Lions will trade away Charles Rogers, Joey Harrington, their third round pick, and the rights to Barry Sanders.

The Dolphins will trade away their entire defensive squad, Ricky Williams, and a 20 pound sack of cannibus.

The 49ers will trade the #1 overall pick and the 1989 Super Bowl trophy.

The Chargers will trade Drew Brees, LaDanlain Tomlinson, and Dan Fouts' beard.

The Vikings will trade away Keneche Udeze, the big hairy Viking guy who rides the Harley, Kelly Campbell, and a 10 pound sack of cannibus.

Overall, the Vikings will receive:

the #1 overall pick
Joey Harrington
the Super Bowl trophy,
30 pounds of cannibus
