Re: Eyes, not hands, Williamson's main problem
Does anybody think that if Tice and his staff were still here that Troy would be getting this type of coaching? Or would Troy just end up in Tice's doghouse and be gone in 2 years.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

I was wondering the same thing after I posted. If Tice and his staff were still here, I have this terrible feeling that Troy would have been in the doghouse. And probably released within a 2-3 year timespan.Does anybody think that if Tice and his staff were still here that Troy would be getting this type of coaching? I just hope that the coaches and Troy can correct the problem and go from there. The big part will depend on Troy's capacity to let this all sink in and realize that what he is doing (getting back to the basics) is not a slap on him and his ability. but just a chance to improve his game more. It is pretty clear that the kid has talent, he just has to refine those skills. And if getting back to the basics helps him get there, then let's get it on!!!
Just relax, Troy. Don't press.

I think it's been mentioned once or twice. If he wasn't seeing the ball real well, he may not have had the time to make the adjustment. If he gets better at getting his eyes on the ball, then he should get better at making those adjustments.Anyone else notice last season that Troy was horrible correcting his route to the ball on long bombs?

I've got hope for him. I doubt he'll be a great receiver this year. I'll be satisfied if he's a solid one. Lets hope he surprises us all!
