Thread: ESPN poll isn't kind to Vikings

The Vikings were 106th out of the 122 professional teams that were ranked.

The Twins were the top-rated Minnesota team at No. 39. The Wild was 92nd and the Timberwolves 118th.

ESPN poll isn't kind to Vikings

Can't remember who pointed it out (and popped my bubble about how good I thought our Vikes were ranked) to me late last year how poorly our Vikings are considered. Probably that i_bleed_purple guy.:dry:

I always thougth we were better. Alas.

Ratings is given based on a weighted score based on the following:

“bang for the buck” (24.3%), players (16.6%), fan relations (16.5%), affordability (14.1%), stadium experience (9.1%), ownership (9.0%), title track (6.7%), and coaching (3.9%).

Bang for the Buck I think we should do OK with, same with players and fan relations/affordability.

Where we probably were rated the worst is stadium, ownership, Title track and coaching.

The only poll I'm interested in is the "Who Caine thinks is cool, and who sucks bag" poll.

In that poll, the Vikings are #1 with a 100% cool rating while the Packers are at the bottom with a 100% bag-sucking rating.

ESPN can suck it too....

I hear ya my friend, however, it still stings when reality hits you in the face and tells you that your wrong about your teams popularity and fans base.

Not really. This is the opinion of Non-Viking fans. Being in a smaller market, I expect to be slammed by an ESPN poll.

I don't need the rest of the country to validate my feelings about the team I choose to support. The only opinion on the matter I truly care about is...to be blunt...mine.

So, again, ESPN can suck it.
