    Re: ESPN magazine = idiots

    .............Anyway, back to the topic.

I'm tired of people saying that a player won't be a starter just cause it's thier first year. I say, if they're a top 10 selection they need to be on the feild (this theory excludes QBs)

I was goning to make another comment but I seriously forgot it with all this Minny-Tex argueing.

dude, moss is gone so the media is trying to stir up trouble with the vikings cause moss aint here to do it. they don't want to see the vikings scared and the media is scared that the vikings are going to win the superbowl. they know we don't have distractions so they are making them for us, we all know that a lot of people throughout the usa is jealous of minnesota cause we have a beautiful state, excellent schools, money, low crime, and our sports teams are always competitive. burleson isn't at all scared of williamson cause burleson will be a starter no matter what and he knows it. someone who needs to be worried would be somebody like howry or kelly cambell. cause one of them just might not make the team cause those other young rookies we just drafted are looking great in camp.
i dont know who this qualifies for, because no one down in texas is thinking "dang it, i gotta get myself up to minnesota!!!". FYI i would rather live in sisters, oregon than minnesota, so dont always think that something has to pertain to racism or jealousy which sadly most your posts refer too.
I would love to live in Minnesota rather than Texas. It is too hot for me down here, there are too many Republicans, and too many hicks.

You start whoever is the better player at that time. Whoever is going to help you win games.

With all of these moves it looks like the Vikes are playing for this year they aren't concerned with developing young talent. If the rooks don't cut it they will just have to sit in the shadows and learn from the better players until it is their time.

On page 102 of the new ESPN mag in their "hot reads" section, they put these exact words (I type now as I am reading) :

"Vikings WR Nate Burleson, worried about competition from the No. 1 pick Troy Williamson, recently got advice from and old pal over dinner. His dining companion? Randy Moss...."

O.K., I know that the whole Burleson and Moss dinner thing is true, but BURLESON WORRIED ABOUT COMPETITION FROM WILLIAMSON?? Troy is like #4 or 5 reciever right now, and just a rook!! It's proposterous that Nate is sweatin' Troy! ESPN....those douche baggers need to do their homework...the whole f*****g media is a bunch of idiots, who are always inaccurate and biased...I wanna break into the media with my own show....it might be opinionated and biased, but at least I'd do my homework on a team or player before I talked about em'!

hey statement right there makes a journalist

Think the point was not everyone wants to live in Minnesota.
yeah i know but he made a blanket statement so i had to let him know there are many people from texas living in MN, and i can't let someone dis on MN without a response.
del is right. i know minnesota is a beautiful state, i was just trying to make a point. right now i wouldnt mind moving to minnesota, the weather is crazy. but nice schools, low crime, competetive teams, etc. isnt a reason for the media to hate the vikigns football team.

sorry for bringing this thread back off topic.

I anticipate that during the season it will be hard to distinguish a true #1 until after the bye.

I believe they will all produce about the same. Robinson may even be leading in the TD department. I think you will notice a lot of variation in who we go to and when.

I do not see Burleson carrying the load all season. I think Travis will make the catches that move the sticks, but I would not be surprised when the smoke cleared to have a bunch of WR's with 800-600 yards recieving and no main pro-bowl caliber guy standing in the spotlight.
I think you really may have hit it on the head here.
I think it is quite possible that Nate goes over 1,000 and all three other guys go between 600-800 with any one of them topping the list depending on which has three "big games" instead of two.
I also expect about 750 or so from Wiggins and a few yards from our backs. All said and done, this seems about right if Daunte throws for somewhere in the area of 4,200 yards, which is quite possible.

I love my Vikings and all everyone. But Minnesota is just too f**cking cold too f**cking often.
I need to be able to see my women in bikinis every now and then, not wrapped tight in parkas at all times ... then you just get them home, get all the layers off and realize damn, that was not all parka ...
