Re: Erin Henderson Waived

I have always been skeptical about when a family member of a player makes a team especially on special teams. Watching him get knocked the fuck out one week makes me wonder if he was ever cut out for special teams. Hopefully he will find a job somewhere.

No tears over this one for me.

i agree with del, he wasn't really anything special.
Sure, he played well in preseason against 3rd stringers, but as we all know that doesn't always translate into success in the regular season.
I wish him the best, and I hope we can keep him on PS, but if not, thats alright.

that's too bad for e.j.
it had to be a great feeling having his brother on the same nfl team with him. hopefully erin improves and gets another chance.
Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

did he do something bad?
we just lost a very good player
I don't know the ins and outs but I do know they just signed two pretty good veterans in D. Thomas and N. Harris.
Evidnetly the coaching staff saw more out of Rufus Alexander than they did Erin.
More information is needed.
I think they are planning on putting him on the PS... Rufus can play and Erin is injured.... they need bodies right now.

Exactly, and people are quick to forget that Rufus looked like a very good prospect before getting injured last year

Well Erin has been put on IR I believe (looking for the link) and they said if he clears waivers they will probably sign him to the PS.

Erin Henderson Re-signed

That was quick.....

Vikings bring back linebacker Erin Henderson

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP)—The Minnesota Vikings re-signed linebacker Erin Henderson on Tuesday.

To make room on the roster, linebacker Rufus Alexander was waived. Last week, the rookie Henderson was waived and Alexander was promoted from the practice squad. Alexander played briefly in Sunday’s game against Chicago.

Henderson made the team as an undrafted rookie. Alexander was a sixth-round pick by the team in 2007.
