Re: Erasmus James? Will he start?
THe first couple of games, james wont start but will be a situational player like some have mentioned. By the middle of the season, i could see him starting and being more than just a third down pass rusher. He'll spend some quality time manning the end spot with darrion scott.
Cant forget about scott. Hes one that i believe could have a breakout season. Just got that feeling about him.Hupo oe ke kau ana i ka waiupa a ma kou pa o & Hupo na Po o waiupa a

Is there anything that could be more irrelevant than a D-Line mans 40 time?

Re: Erasmus James? Will he start?
Erasmus looks quick in his highlights and he looks like he could punish a QB when he gets to him

Re: Erasmus James? Will he start?
i think Erasmus will rack up more sacks then Kevin in a few years and also Udeze he had 16 sacks in his senior year

Erasmus James ... 4.75 in the 40-yard dash
While Freeney runs about a 4.57.. I also got a 4.48.. And a 5.31.. But he is quicker then Erasmus..
I guess Kearse is super super quick too.. He clocked a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine in 1999.. And apparently beat Dieon Sanders 40 time?
40 yard dash speed means absolutely nothing when talking about DE's. There are guys that can run a faster 40 time then other guys, but run slower times then those same guys, on shorter distances, say the first 10 yards.
James isn't a speed rusher because of his 40 time, it is because of his quickness, acceleration, and unbelievable burst off the ball. These are all freeney attributes too. But I would bet that erasmus would have a similar time as freeney in the first 10 yards of a 40, and that is about what it takes to get to the QB, for a speed rusher. It is freeney's burst off the ball, that seperates him from the other speed rushers in the NFL, and erasmus has that unbelievable burst.
If he can stay healthy, he will be a great DE in this league, which is exactly what i said before the draft.

40 Yard Dash times show speed.. So thats why I got those.. I see where your coming from though.. Yah I should have maybe looked at 10 Yard Dashes as well.. Hovan isn't too quick but he got the best jump on the ball then anyone in the league.. So that would help his 10 yard dash more then his 40
