Erasmus James talking about joing Vikings
He talks about wanting to hit Favre, man I like this guys attitude!
Taken from jsonlin.com
Selected by Minnesota with the 18th overall pick in the National Football League draft Saturday, James sounded eager to don the purple of the Vikings, arguably the No. 1 rival of the Green Bay Packers.
And James says he won't hesitate to bring down quarterback Brett Favre, Green Bay's favorite son, when the teams meet next fall.
"No, not at all," James said during a teleconference on his way to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, where he was to fly to Minneapolis. "I don't take appointments. It's kind of a walk-in (operation)."
In other words, no one, not even a future Hall of Fame inductee like Favre, will get special treatment."Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn t work hard."

I'm liking that attitude. I wonder if Favre will even be able to finish the season after playing the Vikings twice next season.
The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

The rigors of Spartan life. Leonidas is cast out into the wild, and survives the harsh winter to return to his home, when he is crowned King ....a Viking!

Here is another good quout abour James from a Madison newspaper:
James, who knocked out two Penn State quarterbacks with clean hits in one game on his way to being named the Big Ten Conference's Defensive Player of the Year last season, laughed when told some Packers fans are already worried about the notion of him slamming into Brett Favre"Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn t work hard."

Love that kind of attitude...very healthy. Now all he's got to do is back it up.!

Re: Erasmus James talking about joing Vikings
James said he learned who the "Purple People Eaters" were a few weeks ago when he visited Winter Park and since then was hoping he could become a Viking and start that tradition again. It could be all talk...but I like his enthusiasm!!! Time to tear it up big E.
