Elling playing for Tenn today

Just saw that Elling is doing all kicking in the game between the titans and dolpins that is currently being played. He is doing good as a punter, which is kind of suprising. He has punted 4 times with and average of 43.5 yards and a long of 50. He missed a 33 yard FG, so now Tenn sees why we cut him. He did manage to make his one extra point though, so congrats on that elling. I just though it was interesting that he is punting and doing it pretty well.

Dang, he just booted a 58 yard punt. Think the titans may have found something.

Did Tice ever try him out as a punter, like in practice or anything? If not maybe he should have!

I think NFL.com has Elling mixed up with Craig Hentrich. I read an article that said Elling was going to handle kick off duties and Hentrich was going to handle field goals and punts.

Titans site says he punted today as well.

NEW PUNTER: Aaron Elling, signed Friday to fill in for injured kicker Joe Nedney, found himself taking on punting duties after Craig Hentrichâ€™s back was tight in warmups. The nerves obviously didnâ€™t get to him as he boomed a 45-yard punt on his first attempt in the first quarter. He missed his first field goal attempt, a 33-yarder wide-left. The Titans waived S Donnie Nickey to make room for Elling. The team is still in discussions with Gary Anderson about possibly returning to Nashville early next week.
