Edwards Not Going To Atlanta ?

Apparently, the Falcons have cooled and will channel their resources to prevent their own players from departing via free agency. Per Ledbetter, Edwards is likely ticketed for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Best DE on the market, Giants and Dallas are two good reasons to sign him. May not be elite, but there are no elite DE available.

Mmmm maybe. He hasn't really stated what he wants. But by his attitude I could see him expecting more then he may be worth. The lack of good DEs should also bring up his asking price tho as well. Im interested to see who ends up with him and for how much

Charles Johnson just got 76 million.
Edwards should be looking at 65- 70 million.

I doubt Edwards will get that much. And the important part is the $32 million guaranteed.

I imagine that Edwards will be looking at about $50 million or so, with $25 or so guaranteed.

Nothing ... when JA's contract is up he will be clearly on his downswing, and probably head elsewhere.

He is still under contract with us for 2011, 2012 and 2013. He got $73.26 million with $31 guaranteed. And he will be 31 when it runs out. He might stick around here after that, but he will not see another mega-payday.
