offense remains unchanged & don't know who can stop them putting up the numbers most weeks. there will be occasions outdoors where they will not hit their targets and have their speed/space advantage like last year, but not too often. they just know each other & their routes so well. makes them hard to stop. any improvement (it can't get worse!) on the other side of the ball will help even more. peyton's just got temperament that is hard to waiver. i'd LOVE to be wrong with the colts, but they keep hanging in.
well they did lose pollard

    Re: Early Power Rankings

i'd love to put them at 3 too, but i don't see how we can yet. there's too many unknowns:

burleson will get attention he's not used to, campbell could be anything, robinson?, williamson's just a kid, travis taylor?. offensively we are going in uncertain. still no decisive no.1 rb. defensively, the potential is there on paper to be great, but hey...we only need an injury or someone to fail to reach expectations. we got plenty of bricks, but we ain;t built sh*t on defense yet. um...special teams..anyone...

    Re: Early Power Rankings

We are in now way going in offensively uncertain. We only lost one player, granted he was a big part of our offense. Did you think we had an uncertain offense when Moss was hurt last year? Our WR corps has a different look, not an uncertain one.

We have four RB's who could handle the number one job, we just haven't decided who yet.

Defensively, I mean come on any team is liable to injury. I feel like you only said that cause you had nothing else to say about our D. I could easily just say, "The Packers defense will be amazing....all it takes is an injury-free year or someone to exceed expectations."

Ok so our special teams is still iffy.
The reason you can't put the vikes so high is because of our late season collapses. No one is going to admit we're good till we win the division next year. It's a shame but it's true.

I think we should be in the top 10, but Im not sure about top 5, looking at some of the other teams that have made improvements.

    Re: Early Power Rankings

nothing else to say...dude, losing moss has more impact on an offense than just losing moss! burleson emerged as a back-up & now has to go to a completely different level as no.1 with topline coverage. now a number two has to emerge as burleson did, but from where...who's the no.2 now? campbell, robinson, taylor...no one? if none of them come to grips with it, we ain't lookin' so shit hot. as for defense, c'mon there are so many new players. all have reputation, but what does that count for? they might never click as a unit. you can't just add that many new additions and expect miracles. i only spoke of injuries because we have a lack of depth to cover them.

    Re: Early Power Rankings

sure our rb's situation is healthy, but let's wait and see what takes shape when they are relied more heavily upon this year under our "new" offensive system. every teams knows we are gonna look to the ground more with less receing potential.
