Re: Dwight Smith steadies young secondary

The Vikings conducted a second consecutive day of OTA sessions on Wednesday under a cloudy sky that produced off- and on-again rain at Winter Park. The weather conditions resulted in a slick surface and players had to navigate the fields carefully to avoid slipping.

Those conditions added a level of difficulty to one of the more entertaining portions of Wednesday's workout. Early during the session, wide receivers coach George Stewart ran his guys through a drill along the sideline. The drill required the receivers to sprint towards the sideline and make a catch while also using body control to either drag two feet in bounds before falling out of bounds or stop on a dime and pivot up-field to finish off the play. On top of the body control required to complete the drill, the receivers had to make a clean catch despite the slick conditions.

Free-agent acquisition Bobby Wade looked smooth during the drill and was never forced to take multiple reps due to a drop, the inability to get two feet in bounds or the inability to pivot on a dime and turn up-field.
Maybe Bobby Wade and Shiancoe will be our starting receivers! See http://www.purplepride.org/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=88888912&?topic=34 485.msg584153;topicseen#new

I've liked this pickup from day one.
His ability to get off the line quickly and get separation will be huge this year.

Another site had Lowber as having the best workout/biggest suprise yesterday.
Even T-will was touted as catching the ball better on Weds than he did on Thurs.

Wish I could post the link but it is from the Scout insider.

Have you even seen Doss play yet? What are you basing this information off? Your man love for Blue doesnt count, sorry.

We will let training camp determine starting roster spots.

I have it, but don't pay for it.
I subscribed a year ago, got tired of it, and called to cancel.
They offered me three months free, so I took it.
At the end of the three months I had to call again to cancel.
They offered me another three months free.
I am starting to see a pattern here.
I wonder how long I can keep this up... ;D
