Getting a little isnt the point. Belonginh to a team like the Vikings, in the spotlite, and doing something like this, just proves how STUPID some players are.
Yeah, you're right. From now on all Viking players will be sequestered in a local Church when not on the field. Mandatory bible study, tea parties and the singing of hymns will be strictly enforced. Chastity belts are optional...for now.

And to compare a guy getting a little action in a stairwell to the action of the Bengals players (i.e. DUI's, guns, drugs, violence, etc...) is just plain dumb.
Oh my god, this is such big news : Like any one of us couldn't get busted for this. How many people a night in the greater Twin Cities area get busted for this, yet it somehow fails to hit the papers? :P
WELL, I LL ASK HIM, BUT I DON T THINK HE WILL BE VERY KEEN. UH, HE S ALREADY GOT ONE, YOU SEE.

I don't really think anything is wrong with this.

The only way this is a big deal at all is if he happens to be married and if that is the case consider him screwed.

Obviously, this isn't something worth throwing a guy to the curb, but it certainly does prove that he is an idiot. Get a room next time, pal.

Re: Dwight Smith Cited for Indecent Conduct.

The problem is not that other people get caught doing what Smith did and no one makes a big deal about it (tell THAT to a mother when her kid's name is published in the local paper for indecent behavior).

Smith is not 'other people'; he is a public figure, a professional that surely has been told again and again not to embarrass the organization that butters his bread.
Smith's behavior further damages the already rusted public image of the team, making it even harder to maintain the political and financial support of a growingly indifferent fan base.
As a professional, he simply should have known better.
