The Drive - Why Moore Gets the Game Ball

You can't take an 8 1/2 minute drive, getting 8 first downs along the way without running the ball effectively. His performance tired the Pacqueers defense, which won us the game. We need to center our attack around the outside running game. Brad Johnson fits in perfectly with this attack, because he's a ball control QB. It seems we've found our identity.

I was almost in tears with that drive. A thing of beauty. I love eating up the clock on a nice, slow, sustained drive.

    -10-MIN12 (9:19) M.Bennett up the middle to MIN 13 for 1 yard (N.Diggs).
2-9-MIN13 (9:19) PENALTY on GB-G.Jackson, Encroachment, 5 yards, enforced at MIN 13 - No Play.
    2-4-MIN18 (8:24) M.Bennett right guard to MIN 20 for 2 yards (N.Barnett; G.Jackson).
    3-2-MIN20 (7:43) B.Johnson pass to K.Robinson to MIN 26 for 6 yards (A.Harris).
    1-10-MIN26 (7:10) B.Johnson pass to J.Wiggins to MIN 40 for 14 yards (M.Roman).
    1-10-MIN40 (6:31) T.Williamson left end to MIN 48 for 8 yards (N.Collins).
    2-2-MIN48 (5:51) M.Moore right end to GB 46 for 6 yards (M.Roman, B.Poppinga).
    1-10-GB46 (5:14) B.Johnson pass to J.Wiggins to GB 29 for 17 yards (N.Barnett).
    1-10-GB29 (4:30) M.Moore left end to GB 16 for 13 yards (A.Carroll, N.Barnett).
    1-10-GB16 (3:49) M.Moore up the middle to GB 13 for 3 yards (G.Jackson).
    2-7-GB13 (3:07) B.Johnson pass to J.Wiggins to GB 12 for 1 yard (M.Roman).
    3-6-GB12 (2:18) B.Johnson pass incomplete to J.Wiggins.
PENALTY on GB-M.Roman, Illegal Contact, 5 yards, enforced at GB 12 - No Play.
    1-7-GB7 (2:14) M.Moore right guard to GB 7 for no gain (C.Cole, A.Kampman).
    2-7-GB7 (1:33) B.Johnson pass incomplete to K.Robinson.
PENALTY on GB-J.Horton, Defensive Pass Interference, 6 yards, enforced at GB 7 - No Play.
1-1-GB1 (1:29) C.Fason left guard to GB 1 for no gain (C.Jenkins, M.Roman).MIN-T.Fonoti was injured during the play.
    2-1-GB1 (:46) C.Fason left tackle for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN.
    P.Edinger extra point is GOOD, Center-C.Loeffler, Holder-B.Johnson.
    MIN 14 GB 14, Plays: 13 Yards: 88 Possession: 8:33.

Gotta love it. Packers gave us 16 yds in the drive.

Long drives in today's NFL are very rare and it deserves recognition. To put a drive together like that takes complete team work.

Moore played an outstanding game and Johnson really came through at QB.

A LOT of credit goes to the offensive line. They made large gaps for Moore to run through

    How true.

I am a huge fan of long drives and controlling the clock! We need a lot more of this from the Vikes.

Don't forget that it enabled our Defense to be rested and ready to dominate. They came out and forced a 3 and out! Yay for long drives!

a little touch of the steelers today... good defensive, a qb that doesnt turn the ball over at costly times, and a running game that is your feature in offensive
