Drawing the line in the sand
Drawing the line in the sand.
Honest answers only please.
Do you think Red MCcombs is the best fit owner for the Vikings?
Do you think Mike Tice is the best choice as Head coach for the Vikings?
Just answer yes or no and add your comment. Try not to splinter off the topics.

#1 NO, he doesn't have the teams best interest at heart. This whole I'm selling....no I'm not......I want this much bull crap just echoes his shallow personality. He needs to go and soon.
#2 NO, Mike Tice was hired as a result of a penny pinching wank off trying to save some money. Better coaches were there for the taking. He has grown into some what of a head coach and I feel he could be good one day, maybe at the college level, but not here.

1: NO: McCombs is a business man - not a Football fan. He cares most about HIS bottom line. Could he build a stadium right now? Using money he has and the franchise has? Absolutely. But instead, he wants to shop the team to other cities who will build it for him. So, I guess I should modify my answer...does he care about the VIKINGS?? Sure, the same way any business owner cares about his business. Does he care about the MINNESOTA Vikings? Not really.
2: Maybe: Tice isn't the entire problem. He's made some bad choices - but all Head Coaches do. The problem I have is mostly with his Coordinators - remove them and Tice becomes better. I like TICE - I hate his coordinators. That said, I find it unlikely that he will remove them, so he - in turn - should probably go.

1. NO, Red needs to sell the Team to Glen Taylor, an owner who spends!
2. Hells NO, His head coach resume speaks for itself.something witty and comical... followed by genuine sarcasm.

1 - No. Red's bottom line is the dollar. He doesn't care at all about the fans. And with the salary cap money available he could have added the defensive help needed to put us over the top.
2 - Maybe. I'm not against Tice, the biggest problem this year has not been coaching, but rather injuries and Red's cheapness.
