EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) Kevin Williams hasn't made much noise in the middle for Minnesota since his standout performance in the season opener..........
Re: Doubled often, Kevin Williams has had quiet month
Kevin Williams has played just fine, and at his level. There's no need for alarm over his stats.
The Defensive End play has been poor. With KWill taking up multiple blockers, an End has to get penetration, especially on passing plays. Once that happens, KWill's stat line will freshen up nicely.
How about letting Robison get more time at end?

Absolutely right. It's not like teams are running up the middle with any success.Kevin had a probowl type performance in game one. He has played just fine since.

It all boils down to people wrongly judging a DE solely on the number of sacks he's had.
K-Will has only had 1 this year, so people knee-jerk & think he's not performing.
We saw the same thing last year when people crucified Udeze for not having any sacks.
Both are good run stuffers & are doing just fine.
BTW,
K-Will: 9 tackles, 1 sack
Udeze: 17 tackles, 2 sacks
Where are the Udeze haters now?

Udeze had last year many tackles for loss, people screamed about no sacks. but he was catching rb's in the backfield, this year there is little difference. he's still there, stopping the run and even laying hits on qb's, even if it's jast as they throw it. those hits add to a qb's troubles.

Re: Doubled often, Kevin Williams has had quiet month
The "ANIMAL" as I like to call him is still one the best in the league and will continue to be. Constant double teams can slow anyone down, but they can't stop him forever. He still gets pressure up the middle and with his "pat"ner in crime, it's all good!

I don't think they are haters anymore.
The now know that there IS a difference between a RDE and a LDE.
;D

13 tackles for a loss to be exact. He LED the Vikings in that category.
Re: Doubled often, Kevin Williams has had quiet month
Well, we were hoping between James, Edwards, and Robison, that two of them would step up enough to cause pressure. It hasn't happened yet.
Re: Doubled often, Kevin Williams has had quiet month
I would give Robison a shot...why not?? Its Dallas and Someone has to put Romo on his back..
